LW BOGDANKA SA increases production ans sales in the second quarter

In first half of 2018, the consolidated revenue of LW Bogdanka S.A. dropped 5.1% down to PLN 856 million, EBITDA dropped 12.6% down to PLN 278.6 million, profit on operating activities was lower by 47.1% and amounted to PLN 78 million, and the net profit decreased by 40.8% to PLN 66.4 million. The interim results suffered because of the first quarter, in which, due to factors of geological and hydrogeological nature, the Group had recorded lower coal production and sales.

LW Bogdanka speeds up work in the Stefanów field

The GRP-2 branch belonging to the Company is in the process of driving a gallery whose target length is to reach about 7,240 metres. It will be the longest gallery in the history of Bogdanka and one of the longest in the world. Works are proceeding faster than it was assumed.

Results of LW Bogdanka for Q1 2018 under pressure of technical difficulties

LW BOGDANKA S.A. has published financial results for the first quarter of 2018.  The LW Bogdanka Group’s revenue dropped in that period by 14.3% to PLN 398.7 million from PLN 465.2 million a year before. The consolidated EBITDA was PLN 127.5 million, operating profit – PLN 28.5 million, and net profit – PLN 23.2 million.
 
The results were weakened by factors of geological and hydrogeological nature, which translated into temporarily lower yield ratio, and in consequence – to lower production and sales.

LW Bogdanka applies for licence for coal extraction from the K-6 and K-7 deposits

LW BOGDANKA S.A. has filed with the Minister of the Environment an application for a mining licence for extraction of hard coal from the K-6 and K-7 deposits, located in Lublin, within the projected mining area “Cyców”. It is directly adjacent to the "Puchaczów V" area, currently mined by Bogdanka.

Preliminary results of LW Bogdanka for q1 2018 under pressure of technical difficulties

LW BOGDANKA S.A. has announced published preliminary financial results for the first quarter of 2018.

Separate revenue for this period amounted to PLN 397.9 million, EBITDA – PLN 122.3 million, operating profit – PLN 25.6 million, and net profit – PLN 20.9 million. The results were visibly lower than a year before, when the Company’s sales stood at a level of PLN 463.4 million, EBITDA – PLN 179.82 million, operating profit – PLN 84.5 million, and net profit – PLN 64.1 million. The results were weakened by factors of geological and hydrogeological nature resulting in temporarily lower yield ratio, and in consequence – lower production and sales.

LW Bogdanka after 2017 - high market share and sound financial results

LW BOGDANKA S.A., the most modern and efficient hard coal mine in Poland, making part of the Enea Group, has published its results for 2017. The consolidated revenue amounted to PLN 1,780.3 million while a year before the figure was PLN 1,786.3 million. The net profit, net of one-off events, amounted to PLN 173.1 million, EBIT was PLN 236.4 million, and EBITDA – PLN 594.0 million (in 2016 the values were PLN 182.0 million, PLN 237.0 million and PLN 606.5 million, respectively).

Good preliminary results of LW Bogdanka for 2017

LW BOGDANKA S.A., the most modern and effective hard coal mine in Poland, making part of the Enea Group – one of the leaders of the Polish power market, has announced preliminary financial results.   

Consolidated revenue reached PLN 1.78 billion, which was close to a level achieved in 2016. EBITDA, EBIT and net profit figures net of the impact of one-off events were as follows: EBITDA: PLN 594 million, EBIT: PLN 236.4 million, net profit PLN 173.1 million.
