The visit was associated with mine privatisation and its planned entry into the Stock Exchange (GPW) on the turn of 2008 and 2009. The Prime Minister also went down to 990m under ground level in the new pit shaft No 2 in Stefanów.

         Next Friday 6 June 2008 in the morning, aforesaid material and transportation pit shaft No 2.2. in Stefanów will be officially commissioned, among others at the presence of the Minister of Treasure – Mr. Aleksander Grad.

 

The visit of the Prime Minister – Mr. Donald Tusk has been reported by local newspapers in Lublin.

- I am deeply impressed to see the mine becoming actually an absolutely exceptional and optimistic phenomenon not only on national level but even in whole Europe – said the Prime Minister after the quarter he spent under the ground in Stefanów."

The photos and the information illustrating the visit in Stefanów have been also published on the official website of the Prime Minister - www.premier.gov.pl - This mine may become an example to be followed not on national level but in a larger scale. I hope that it will be also an attractive example to be followed by other companies in this sector i.e. for other mines – said Mr. Tusk after his visit in the new shaft bottom of the mine.
The Prime Minister emphasized also significant growth potential and promising perspectives for „Bogdanka” and mentioned that long term determination demonstrated by the local staff contributed to the successful completion of the project.
