LW Bogdanka signs a 15-year agreement with Elektrownia Kozienice S.A.

On 4 March 2010 a 15-year agreement on the supply of coal for Elektrownia Kozienice S.A. was signed in Bogdanka.
Pursuant to the agreement, LW Bogdanka S.A. will commence coal delivery in the 1st quarter of 2011, that is following the completion of deliveries resulting from current contracts. The new agreement will remain in effect until 31 December 2025. Its estimated value amounts to PLN 10.43 billion.
Each year LW Bogdanka S.A. and Elektrownia Kozienice S.A. will enter into annual agreements determining in detail the volumes, prices, and schedules for deliveries, as well as other logistics matters.
“Over 90% of our sales are carried out on the basis of long-term trade agreements with regular customers. That is why we are happy to sign another long-term agreement with one of our key partners: Elektrownia Kozienice, a member of the Enea Group, guaranteeing further years of mutually beneficial cooperation. The agreement sets out the actual commencement of our deliveries of power coal to Kozienice at the first quarter of 2011,” said Mirosław Taras, President of the Management Board of LW Bogdanka S.A.
