On Friday i.e. 6 June 2008, the commissioning of the pit shaft No 2.2 has been celebrated in Stefanów. The investment was opened by the Minister of Treasure – Mr. Aleksander Grad

The construction of the pit shaft in Stefanów has been commenced in early 80s.

The project implementation has been interrupted in the year 1988 as a result of economic reasons and the pit shaft was filled with water for the next period of 15 years. The investment has been restarted in the year 1999.

Thanks to the efforts made by our mine, Stefanów mine – field will make to possible to significantly increase our coal output early in the next decade.
